Fortuna Hotel Hanoi

It was a great hotel offering variety of amenities. Breakfast, various restaurants, Spa, Niteclub, Pool, Gym.

The pool Is not heated and it was not usable.Room telephone used to call lobby was not working. I had to shuttle up and down the elevator from 16th floor for small stuff every time.

I had a very frustrating experience. The chubby woman with glasses at the reception was very rude and unprofessional. When I first asked for an invoice, she said no. When I lived in Vietnam and all hotels had an invoice if I booked through Booking.com, I asked why not, and she said yes. And I am a non-smoker, but she gave me a smoking room. When I told her I am a non-smoker and asked to change rooms, she said it was a smoking room and told me to use a smoking room. When I complained more, she said there were only twin beds and told me to use a twin bed.When I asked for a refund, she suddenly said there was a room available. She said she couldn't work. I was very angry. She didn't even apologize.

Although a day after Supertyphoon Yagi hit norther Vietnam, service was up to par. Hotel staff and management excellent as usual

room itself is not bad

too expensive compared to quality. I did feel service was not proper one of 4 star hotel

Staff were generally not geared much towards customer care. More like robots. I was rather humiliated when they refused to accept payment with credit card at the casino claming that I was not the righteous owner of the card as it showed my name in different order on passport. I had booked and paid my room with the same 2 items and was accepted??I made the remark to management but no excuse furnished or rectification done?. Staff at bar were pretty much a waste of space.

Breakfast in Exec lounge was closed. Breakfast area completely packed and had to wait forever for a table.

I booked a room with exec lounge access but it was closed. had to sit in the lobby and order from tiny menu. Food arrived cold and mushy. Not Happy at all. rate should have been lowered to just a regular room

The main attractions for this hotel are the facilities--big pool, excellent fitness center, but also large spa, night club and small casino. I got an upgraded room so the size was fine and it was adequate in every way, but just a bit bland and without any personality. The location is not interesting for tourists and walking around was not all that great due to the heavy traffic in the area.

The room could have been made a bit more attractive. The neighborhood isn't conducive for walking.

Old hotel, room not comfy with loud air con. Not much choice for breakfast.

Very friendly staff, buffet breakfast spread was quite good. I liked the pho and the coffee.. Easy access to the little casino at the ground floor.

In general, pleasure greeting from the hotel staffs is not presented.On second day of stay is my birthday, it will be good to receive a greeting card but never happened. I approached the front desk to borrow a lighter to light up the candle of birthday cake. Their reply had directed me to hunt at the street myself. The staffs at the front desk shall be much more helpful to the foreigner.

Hotel facility is good. fitness and swimming pool staffs are friendly and good service
